As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This will involve compiling and maintaining accounts payable records, as well as responding to AP inquiries. We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who combines a solid understanding of accounts payable principles and accounting, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented and possess the ability to effectively work both independently and in a team.
What you’ll do:
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
- Receive mail, monitor AP inbox, and review and code invoices on a daily basis.
- Process 3-way PO matching invoices, resolve and research any discrepancies with purchasing and shipping dept.
- Processing transactions and performing accounting functions such as account maintenance, vendor payment inquiries, payment processing, and reporting.
- Completes and files the new vendor set-up request forms and maintain vendor files.
- Reconcile vendor and credit card statements.
- Perform accounting review and process of employee expense reports weekly.
- Assist in month end closing.
- Assist in other projects as needed.

- Minimum 2 year AA degree in accounting or related experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years accounting experience (preferably in A/P)
- Must be PC proficient with Word and Excel.
- Experience with Sage300 is a plus.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, works well under pressure, be a team player, and meet deadlines.
